Hello! Welcome to our world of fun! Here at the Children’s Festival we firmly believe that children should be given every opportunity to play, learn and have fun. Look around our website to discover what we offer children and their families.
January/Februrary 2021: Due to Covid19 restrictions we have suspended most of our usual services. Please see our Toy Library page for our free home delivery service which will continue to offer toy loans to your door throughout lockdown.
If you are struggling in lockdown do contact us as we run several other services to support families: ‘Small Steps’ can provide you with pre-school parenting advice and signposting. We also have a ‘Befriending’ service (via social worker or school-teacher referral) for ages 5-12yrs in need of an online buddy-chat once a week. During school holidays we run activities for families who are referred to us by other organisations – we may be able to help you.
Frome Children’s Festival started in 2014 and has grown from a single event to offering several events and activities throughout the year. Our aim is to support our local community by offering good quality activities for children and their families, either free or at very low cost, so that everyone can attend. Our emphasis is on creativity, exploration, imagination and fun! We aim to make all our activities as accessible as possible, with special consideration given to children with additional needs. Our events are all about families enjoying activities together, so we ask parents or carers to stay with their children or remain responsible for them – we don’t do childcare!
Our ‘Save The Toy Library’ campaign continues; we need monthly, regular donations from individuals and businesses willing to fund us year-round, each year. These can be made via Local Giving appeal here … Save The Toy Library. Thank you!
Send us your pictures (via FB or email) of your creations and we’ll post them on our social media
We’re very aware that many families will be challenged over the next few weeks and we’ll be working with other local organisations to find alternative ways to support those most in need. Do keep an eye out on social media for details of alternative family support available.
This is a challenging and worrying time for us all – a time when we, as a community, need to support each other as best we can. As an organisation we will be doing our utmost to help support those in need. Look after yourself and those around you.
